Aircol 120 Duct Type Fan Plastic Bathroom, Toilet, and Chimney Aspirator What is a Radial Fan? Fans that create a pressure difference are called radial fans. The resulting airflow operates in the direction of centrifugal force. A centrifugal fan is a mechanical device used to move air or other gases. These fans have a rotating impeller, similar to a pump, and a helical housing within which the impeller is housed. Air or gas enters the center parallel to the axis, is pressurized, and then transferred to the ducts tangentially around the impeller, where it is exhausted through the outlet. The high pressure they create makes centrifugal fans ideal for high-pressure applications such as drying and air conditioning systems. Because all moving parts are enclosed, they also have particle reduction properties, making them ideal for use in air pollution and filtration systems. AREAS OF USE: Suitable for ventilation of small and medium-sized spaces such as bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, residences, offices, workplaces, cellars, garages, and more. It is manufactured specifically for use in pipe-based ventilation applications and for providing air flow between rooms. FEATURES Designed to exhaust air directly to the outside or send it through a short pipe. The pipe to be used should be unkinked and less than 1.5 m long. It is intended for providing small and medium volume air movement against low static pressure. It can be easily used in flexible or rigid pipes. Manufactured from high quality ABS plastic, our product provides the best protection against unpleasant odors, moisture, and similar external factors, while never losing its first-day appearance. The optimum fan design minimizes noise levels and provides high-pressure air suction. It can be easily connected to walls, ceilings, windows, etc., and inside ducts. Self-lubricating and maintenance-free motor bearings ensure quietness and long service life. It has IPX2 protection against splashing water. It has Class-II protection that does not require an earth connection. Our products are manufactured in accordance with EN 60335-2-80, Low Voltage Equipment [2006/95/EC] and Electromagnetic Compatibility [2004/108/EC] norms. The air exchange coefficients required for different environments are given in the adjacent table. AMBIENT AIR EXCHANGE COEFFICIENT Classrooms 5-7 Libraries 4-5 Home-type kitchens 15-25 Bathrooms 5-7 Home-type WCs 4-5 General WCs 8-15 Meeting rooms 6-8 Offices 4-8 Changing rooms 6-8 The amounts of air per person in living and working areas depending on activity can be helpful in determining the required air flow rate. Normal Activity (Non-smoking) 29 m3 / hour Normal Altitude (Smoking) 58 m3 / hour Light Activity 45 m3 / hour Heavy Activity 60 m3 / hour Based on the information given above, the required air flow rate is determined as follows. Q [ m3 / hour ] = Air exchange coefficient (1 hour) * Ambient volume (m3 ) Or Q [ m3 / hour ] = Number of people * required air flow rate per person After determining the required air flow rate in the environment, the appropriate duct design should be made (taking into account sound and air speed criteria) and pressure losses should be calculated. The fan type (axial, radial, roof, smoke extraction, etc.) should be decided depending on the environment in which the fan will operate, and the appropriate fan should be selected based on the curve according to the determined flow-static pressure pair. To briefly explain the above and the table with examples: If 5 people work in an office, the ceiling height is 2.6 meters and the floor area is 50 m2, the volume is 2.6 * 50 = 130 m3. The value given for the office in the air exchange coefficient table was 4-8. Let's consider the environment as 5. 130 * 5 = 650 m3 /h of air is needed. Assuming normal activity in the office, 5 people * 29 m3 = 145 m3 of air is needed, resulting in a total air requirement of 650 + 145 = 795 m3/hour. Fan selection is based on this air flow requirement. After calculating the air flow, determine the location where the fan will be installed. Where will the fan be installed? On the ceiling, wall, chimney, or ventilation pipe, for example. Another important consideration is the voltage of the electrical system connected to the fan. Since our example is based on an office, let's proceed from there. Fans are typically mounted on walls or windows in offices. If household electricity is used, a single-phase fan should be preferred. If it's used in an industrial setting, a three-phase (380-volt) fan should be used.
